BOOK LE DELUGE - DELUXE EDITION

Caroline Gaudriault explores the idea of the Flood. She questions the ancestral myth of the ultimate catastrophe, which carries within it a fundamental questioning of ourselves, of our place in the world and of what we are capable of in the face of military, political and climate challenges.

This book is an intellectual and emotional journey, in which the author shares her encounters with the explorer Jean-Louis Etienne, the sailor Catherine Chabaud, a palaeoclimatologist, a Leonardo da Vinci specialist, mythologists, a wave modeller, a utopian architect who designs floating cities and the world of tomorrow…

Thirty-six plates illustrate this epic and invite contemplation and reflection on human fragility and on resilience in the face of the titanic forces of nature. A book of remembrance that begins in chaos and opens onto a light.
